About the StemNest Learning Hub

The StemNest Learning Hub is the free learning library of StemNest Academy, an online school where children and teenagers learn coding, game development, website and app development, data science and artificial intelligence in live classes with a tutor.

Our students asked for a place to keep practising between classes. Parents asked for plain-English answers to questions like "Should my child learn coding or AI?" This hub is our answer to both.

What you will find here

🛠️ Learn by Doing — step-by-step tutorials you can follow on your own computer: build a game in Scratch, a navigation bar with HTML and CSS, your first full website, a Python game, or your own AI model. Every tutorial lists what you need, explains why each step works, and ends with challenges to try next.

💡 Tech Explained — clear explanations and honest comparisons: Scratch or Python first, what HTML, CSS and JavaScript each do, what machine learning really is, and how to think about coding and AI in 2026.

Who it is for

• Students aged roughly 7 to 17, from complete beginners to young coders building real projects.
• Parents who want to understand what their child is learning and how to support them.
• Teachers and club leaders looking for ready-to-use activities.

Each guide shows a suggested age range and level, but curious learners of any age are welcome.

How our guides are made

• Guides are written by the StemNest Academy team, drawing on the same projects our tutors teach in live classes.
• We test every set of steps and every piece of code before publishing, using free tools that work in a browser or on a normal laptop.
• We keep language simple, avoid jargon (or explain it when it matters), and never ask young readers to sign up for paid tools.
• When tools change, we update the guide and show the "Updated" date at the top.
